power generation. The graphs give you a good idea of what the winds are like at
hill top height. By following the trends you can see if the winds
are increasing of decreasing. Anything over 400MW indicates that its blown out on
the east coast.

Terminal Aerodrome Forecasts (TAF & Long-TAF) Mt. Leinster Weather Station Live data feed - Historical data Note: When using this site to evaluate conditions at Mt. Leinster, pay attention to the Relative Humidity reading. The higher the RH% the lower cloud-base will be. If the relative humidity is 97% or higher then there is a good chance that the ridge behind the westerly car park (where the wind turbines and the weather station are located) is clagged in cloud. The Mt. Leinster webcam in Bunclody can usually verify this.
Note: The data for the above graphs (ICOCARLO2) come from the Blackstair Mts weather station, which is located 10m above the ground in clear, unobstructed, laminar air flow on top of a mast near the wind turbines on the ridge behind Mt. Leinster's westerly car park. This data is more accurate (for free flying) than any of the low-lying weather stations in the surrounding flat lands. While this will give the true wind speed at that location (and elevation above the ground) it may not reflect the wind speed at ground level, near take-off, where the Venturi effect may increase local wind speed at launch!
