XC Leagues

The IHPA XC League and All Ireland XC League are the official cross country paragliding and hang gliding leagues for IHPA pilots.

The IHPA XC League is the official league for IHPA members (hang gliders and paragliders) logging flights starting in the Republic of Ireland.

The All Ireland XC League is the official league for IHPA and UHPC members (hang gliders and paragliders) logging flights starting anywhere on the Island of Ireland.

If you have not already entered your Leonardo profile in the IHPA XC League and All Ireland XC League, we recommend you do so to be included in the leagues. The IHPA undertakes an annual review of the leagues against association membership – Only paid-up members of the IHPA (and UHPC) are included in the leagues.

2018

2018 IHPA and All Ireland XC League

2018 saw some very impressive flights logged in Ireland – north, south and cross-border.

Both the IHPA XC League and the All Ireland XC League saw Rafal Obora top the tables with an outstanding five flights in excess of 100km, including a new All Ireland record of 194.9 km from Slievenamon to Cavan on July 25^th – An incredible feat worthy of the top spot in both leagues.

2018 also saw a number of pilots starting to make strides in going cross country, a sign that free flight ambitions are on the up on our little island on the edge of Europe!
