Progress on Phil Lardner's All-carbon CD? (Part 2) 04 Oct 2019 18:26 #1248

Ok, i am new up here, but i would really consider something more rugged for an mill, than 0.8mm stamped sheet profile..

At least as here, from alumium L profiles sienci.com/product/longmill/

Or from open linear bearing and locally sourced calibrated steel rod..

Forgot to add...

All my moulds are (or will be!) available for others to use once this project is completed... for a small fee, to help offset my expenses!

My aim is to make a much lighter pilot pod with a better, heat-formed one-piece canopy that fully encloses the pilot. Flying at altitude in the French Alpes this summer was very c...c...cooold!!! I likes me creature comforts!
